Christmas Shoppers on Fifth Avenue (New York City) Stone Coaster

This design features a vintage painting by the American artist William James Glackens (1870–1938). It shows a frantic scene on Fifth Avenue in New York City with crowds of shoppers eager to buy presents for the Christmas holiday. There are buses and carts being driven down the street; there are also policemen on horses. Everyone is dressed in their finest clothes as they rush to find the best bargains in all of the elegant stores of New York. One man can be seen dressed as Santa Claus. Everyone is excited to enjoy the festivities of the Christmas season. The original art was painted in 1912.
