Chysis Aurea (Orchid) by Jean Jules Linden Tissue Paper

Chysis aurea is native to Venezuela, Colombia and probably Panama. These plants are usually found at low altitudes in dense, damp forests where they grow high on large trees, usually on their trunks or at the base of large branches. Jean Jules Linden was a 19th century Belgian botanist, explorer, horticulturist and businessman. He specialised in orchids and travelled the world documenting the flowers, painting / illustrating them and writing several books about the gorgeous plant.
