This panoramic image catches the Cimarron River just before sunset on June 28, 2012. The ripples and other sedimentary structures visible in the sandbar were formed by elevated streamflow conditions associated with a rainfall-runoff event on June 15-16, 2012. The intense colour of the western sky may be a result of atmospheric conditions following a series of wildfires in New Mexico and Colorado. The photographs were taken from the river bridge near Coyle, Oklahoma.

I hesitated to order such a large print. This image is a panorama almost 41 inches in length! However, no need to fear - Zazzle did an outstanding job on this one, too! The image arrived rolled up in a hard carboard tube...and in perfect shape! I have placed two orders for this same print and both copies were identical in terms of focus, color, and quality of reproduction. Consistency is important when filling orders for customers with set expectations. Thank you Zazzle!
