Most people don't know the story behind Cinco de Mayo and just assume it's Mexico's Independence Day. But, it's not. It has to do with the Mexicans defeating Napoleon's soldiers and not allowing them to take over. The odds were like 2 to 1, with the French having superior warfare, etc. But, the Mexicans won!
