If you live there, you already know about the L train. For those that don't, the L is a train that is mostly above ground. In NY, they have mostly a subway system but some of their track is still used, just not as much a Chicago. In this scene they also used streetcars, but were phased out as buses became the main transportation, but you can still see a bus in the background on the right (it's a bit hidden). Moving trucks are pretty much the same as today, just with less stuff hanging out the back. And while not shown here, they also use ships, but mostly for transport and only where there is water, otherwise it would block traffic. I find that garage on the right interesting. Besides being an office building, its 25 cents to park, but $1.00 to get it washed? And one cent for some kind of greasing. Seems like a good deal. That car on the left is a taxi.
