City Flag of Omaha (Nebraska) Tie

This design features the city flag of Omaha, which is the largest city in the US state of Nebraska. The city is located in the Midwestern United States on the Missouri River, about 10 miles north of the mouth of the Platte River. The city was founded along the Missouri River, and a crossing called Lone Tree Ferry earned the city its nickname, the "Gateway to the West". Omaha is the county seat of Douglas County, Nebraska. A resident of Omaha, Nebraska, is known as an Omahan. The conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway is based in Omaha and it has long been headed by the local investor Warren Buffett, one of the wealthiest people in the world. Omaha is the anchor city of the eight-county bi-state Omaha–Council Bluffs metropolitan area, which straddles the border of Nebraska and Iowa; the region includes cities such as Council Bluffs, Bellevue, Papillon and La Vista, as well as Omaha itself.
