City Flag of Philadelphia (Pennsylvania) Tile

This design features the city flag of Philadelphia, which is the largest city in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. Philadelphia is colloquially known as Philly; it is also known as the "City of Brotherly Love", because the name of the city comes from the ancient Greek words "phílos" [beloved] and "adelphós" [brother]. Philadelphia is the birthplace of the United States Marine Corps, and is also the home of the first U.S. library (1731), hospital (1751), medical school (1765), national capital (1774), stock exchange (1790), zoo (1874) and business school (1881). The official motto of Philadelphia, displayed on the flag, is "Philadelpha maneto", which translates from the Latin as "Let brotherly love continue".
