Classical Idyll (by Frederic Leighton) Jigsaw Puzzle
This design features a painting by the British Victorian artist Frederic Leighton (1830–1896). It depicts two beautiful women lying langorously on a hillside as they listen to a beautiful melody being played by a muscular man with a flute. There is a winding river meandering through the landscape in the background, and there are some hills and mountains further back. The sky is orange with a bright sunset. The women are wearing diaphanous gowns and one of the women is resting her head on the lap of the other woman. One of the gowns that the women is wearing is white and the other is pink. The woman in white has bare feet and she is watching the musician as he plays his melody. The man is seen from behind and his bare back is strong and powerful, yet he appears graceful and refined as he plays the small woodwind instrument. The original artwork was painted by Frederic Leighton between 1880 and 1881.

This puzzle made a really great gift, my parents loved it! Unfortunately it was missing one puzzle piece, thankfully an edge and not someone's face, lol.
