Cliffs at Étretat (Les Falaises à Étretat), 1885 - Claude Monet, oil on canvas. Claude Monet (Paris, 1840 - Giverny, 1926) was a French Impressionist painter. In autumn 1885 Monet worked at Étretat on one of his most sustained Normandy campaigns, beginning approximately fifty paintings between early October and mid-December. The famous chalk formations gave him a fixed motif whose appearance changed with weather and hour. This version shows the rock needle and the natural arch of the Porte d'Aval. Broken brushwork keeps even the rock surface responsive to atmosphere rather than permanently solid.

It was easy to put in the text and it came out exactly how I wanted it to. So many styles to choose from that were lovely for a birthday invitation. Quality of invitation was great and overall very happy. Would definitely use again. It was what I expected but wished it did have glitter.
