Teddy was Colonel of the First U.S. Volunteer Calvary Regiment during the Spanish-American War, today we more commonly know them as the "Rough Riders". For his heroism Roosevelt was nominated for the Medal of Honour. And it "only took" a little over 100 years for him to receive it. In 2001 Teddy was posthumously awarded the Medal for his bravery on San Juan Hill. Another interesting fact, Roosevelt's first son Teddy Jr., was a key General during the invasion of Normandy Beach during WW2. He went in with the first wave of men and for his gallantry he was also awarded the Medal of Honour. Also, In case you didn't know, T.R. was 26th President of the United States. I originally ordered this print in a larger size but was not pleased with the clarity of it. When I contacted Zazzle, they responded really quickly and were very helpful. I was able to reorder the print in a smaller size and it was shipped to me within a couple of weeks. The print was packaged well to ensure there was no damage during transit (Eco friendly, too!), and I am really pleased with it. I am so grateful to the customer service team for the professional way they handled my order. I had this printed on matt finish card and I was really pleased with the quality. The colours were rich and the image sharp.
