We the semi-survivors of Sandy have learned to very much about FEMA and the NFIP and welcome you and anyone else who needs this sort of help to go to the StopFemaNow.com site or to the StopFemaNow f-bk page which is even more exiting. We are in the mess together and need each other to get some very oppressive laws and regulations brought down to reasonable levels. Understand that FEMA funds do not go to homeowners and grants are only given to the very poor. NFIP insurance doesn't pay off well and so you are left with financial dilemmas that we are still facing. Don't reinvent the wheel: we are your neighbours and can give you a leg up.
