Colour Charicature Working Woman Shopping Card

Young woman's work is never done postcard. We can all laugh at ourselves. The old saying "A woman's work is never done" reminds us that life can be very hard, the tasks needed to accomplish to get through the day are endless and what is finished in the evening will begin again in the morning. I know this from personal experience as I imagine you do also. Here I drew this young woman, with big, red hair, stylish clothes and an armload of packages completing one of her tasks for the day. After a hard day of shopping we may chuckle and realise that perhaps we are indulging ourselves a bit and that we are taking the comforts of modern life a bit too much for granted. When I sketched this I was thinking of my own art career, and about all the other things that complicate our lives, including shopping which can be a bit of a relief from the worries about politics, our job and family and our health. I hope the recipient of this card gets a smile on her face as she reads your note.
