Colourful Red and Yellow Macaw Key Ring

An adaptation of the beautiful lithograph by English artist, Edward Lear. Edward Lear (1812 -1888) was an artist, illustrator, author and poet. His principal areas of work as an artist included work as a draftsman employed to illustrate birds and animals, and making coloured drawings during his journeys. These he reworked later, sometimes as plates for his travel books. This illustration is a part of Lear's first publication, published when he was 19 years old, entitled Illustrations of the Family of Psittacidae, or Parrots in 1830.
