Carved by the Missoula floods during the last ice age, Columbia Gorge stretches 80 miles long and 4,000 feet deep. The Columbia River forms the boundary between Washington and Oregon and is the only navigable sea-level passage through the Cascade Mountain Range. It's also the most popular recreational destination in the Pacific Northwest. Seen here from Crown Point viewpoint near the western end of the gorge. Perfect for nature/landscape lovers of all ages!
