Come And Take It Christianity Flag T-Shirt

Come And Take It Christianity Flag T-Shirt

The Texas "Come and Take It" flag. The flag has historical significance in Texas and is associated with the Texas Revolution. Belwo is an excerpt from the original flag's story and I have adopted it for the recent rise in anti-Christian sentiments. The "Come and Take It" flag features a cannon along with the words "Come and Take It." It has its roots in an event that took place in 1835 in the town of Gonzales, Texas. At that time, tensions were rising between the Mexican government, which then controlled Texas, and the Texian settlers who had moved to the region. The Mexican authorities had provided the settlers in Gonzales with a small cannon for defence against local Native American threats. As the situation between the Mexican government and the Texian settlers deteriorated, the Mexican authorities decided they wanted the cannon back, fearing it could be used against them in any potential rebellion. They sent a small force to retrieve the cannon. In response, the Texian settlers in Gonzales raised a homemade flag featuring the cannon and the defiant slogan "Come and Take It." This flag was a symbol of their determination to defend their rights and property, and it became a rallying point for the Texian cause. When the Mexican force arrived in Gonzales, the Texians refused to surrender the cannon, and a skirmish broke out. This event marked one of the early confrontations in the Texas Revolution. The "Come and Take It" flag has since become an iconic symbol of Texas and its spirit of resistance and independence. It is often used to represent the proud history of Texas and its struggle for sovereignty.
