Commodore Hotel Beirut postcard
"To most foreign journalists who covered the Lebanese civil war, the Commodore Hotel was the only place to stay. Never mind that the Commodore was basically a dump. In the midst of a war zone, the Commodore had reliable telex lines, a seemingly limitless supply of whiskey and ice and a parrot that could whistle Beethoven's Ninth and "The Marseillaise" -- or mimic the sound of incoming shellfire. Journalists loved the place." John Lancaster Washington Post

Such a huge range of different frogs available, which made my choices very difficult and now the reason I have a whole draw full of cards and postcards! Much better quality than you can buy in the shops and they are exactly on the subject I love and adore too.
