Comparing Zika-Carrying Mosquitoes by RoseWrites Poster

A handy poster to help identify the key differences between Aedes and Culex mosquitoes. Discounts apply when you purchase more than three posters. Eradication methods differ greatly for controlling Aedes and Culex mosquitoes, so it's crucial that health departments and the public are aware of these mosquitoes and their behaviours. Other reasons I felt compelled to design this fact sheet: Roger Nasci (formerly of the CDC) felt controlling Culex would "divert resources from the important efforts to control the primary vector". (Source: http://www.newsweek.com/how-zika-virus-could-make-its-way-north-507085) The study "Differential Susceptibilities of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus [tiger mosquitoes] from the Americas to Zika Virus" (published March 3, 2016) states: "... although susceptible to infection, Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus were unexpectedly low competent vectors for the Zika virus." May 2016, Dr. Constancia Ayres et al. found collected more than 1500 mosquitoes and tested them for the presence of Zika and other viruses. Nearly half were Aedes aegypti and most of the rest were Culex quinquefasciatus, a common mosquito. Roughly 5 percent were other species ... Aedes albopictus only made up about 2 percent of the catch. (Source: http://www.sciencemag.org/news/2016/05/top-mosquito-suspect-found-infected-zika) Note: I will contribute 20 percent of my royalties from every sale of this poster in support of Zika research.

I originally ordered this print in a larger size but was not pleased with the clarity of it. When I contacted Zazzle, they responded really quickly and were very helpful. I was able to reorder the print in a smaller size and it was shipped to me within a couple of weeks. The print was packaged well to ensure there was no damage during transit (Eco friendly, too!), and I am really pleased with it. I am so grateful to the customer service team for the professional way they handled my order. I had this printed on matt finish card and I was really pleased with the quality. The colours were rich and the image sharp.
