John I. Slingerland was an Assemblyman and Congressman whose causes included the Homestead Act, the abolitionist movement and the Anti Rent Party. His home was in historic Slingerlands, NY. His burial vault is desperately in need of restoration, and all proceeds from this sale will be used towards the restoration and preservation of his burial vault by the Friends of the Slingerland Family Burial Vault.
