This is a digital version of the coronation of the Virgin Mary adapted from the famous tempera on panel by the mediaeval painter, Gentile of Fabriano in c.1420. The Gold -encrusted panel and the sumptuous surface resembling tapestry in the original has been left out without sacrificing the beauty of the complex patterning, and long flowing lines of the robes of Madonna and Christ conforming Gothic style.
