Along the upper reaches of the Missouri River, a Native American village as it would have been seen by the Lewis and Clark expedition of 1803. Friendly relations with many of the tribes was a major achievement as the party most certainly would have starved or been lost in the Rocky mountains without their assistance. This dramatic and evocative watercolor by Paul Jackson is one of a series highlighting this historic exploration by the artist.
