Inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Cthulhu reached out in dreams to many ancient cultures from his abode beneath the Pacific. Bali is a country in the South Seas, famous for its jewellery and its temples. We suspect that the origins of this particular Cthulhu design are tied to both. The temples in Bali derive their orientation from the mountains and the sea, the direction towards the sea being called "kelod". Coincidence? We think not!
