Custom TUSKEGEE AIRMEN DAY Metal Tree Decoration
Modern, custom Tuskegee Airmen Day metal ornament, showing a well-known photo of African-American pilots of the 332nd Fighter Group who fought in World War Two. Here they are pictured in Ramitelli, Italy. They didn't only fight the enemy in the air -- and excelled at it -- but also had to confront racism on the ground. The black and white photo has been given a colour overlay. The text reads CELEBRATING TUSKEGEE AIRMEN DAY. It celebrates not only the fighter and bomber pilots in the air, but the many men and women who supported them. Tuskegee Airmen Day is celebrated on March 7th, and is a good follow-up celebration to the US Black History Month in February. This would make a great gift with customisation for any Tuskegee-related event.
