The two loving mixed breed dogs on this customisable envelope were best friends. Charlie, the large white boy was getting old and needed a friend to give him a new lease on life. We discovered the brown GSD/Labrador cross puppy being kept in a tiny cage in a pet shop, the assistant told us that he was put in the store cupboard at night, he was in a sad state and looked so soulless, we just had to help him. So we went home and collected our dear Charlie, we took him to meet the sad little dog in the cage, Charlie showed no intolerance towards the 16 week old pup, we were so relieved to know that Charlie had “okayed” the rescue of his new pal. We named the puppy Tod because he looked a little foxy and within a few days Tod stopped being afraid of grass, flowers and butterflies and he came out of himself, Charlie had found his friend. The two of them became inseparable for the short remainder of Charlie’s life. Charlie passed away about 9 months later at the age of 9 and a half, Tod was bereft and after some time he became severely epileptic, and just like Charlie he needed a friend to lift his spirits, so along came Eddie! and that’s another story! This lovely envelope matchess the note card and is very handy for sending a quick reminder or perhaps for a special date, maybe to send a note to remind someone of an upcoming meeting.
