Cute Squirrel Critter On Cholla Cactus Digital Art

These small return address labels features a digital art creation from an original photograph by Karen Coffelt of a cute desert Harris' Antelope Squirrel resting on the skeleton of a Teddy Bear Cholla Cactus in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona. These adorable creatures are able to forage in the desert throughout the heat of the day, as they are able to regulate their body temperature. They do this when their body temperature gets too hot by laying splayed out on the ground (or in this case on a cactus skeleton) through a process called "heat dumping". Nature is so amazing!
