I washed it first (like I do all new clothing) which softened the cotton and made the shirt more body-fitting. Because it is mainly cotton, it will be a valuable addition to my daily wardrobe here in FL, where synthetics become very uncomfortable in the summer heat and humidity. Very satisfactory -- clear and crisp.
