"Dad's Coming!" is just one of the many heartwarming 19th century paintings from the American landscape artist, Winslow Homer. It depicts a young family waiting for their father to return from his north east coast fishing expedition, likely his occupation. It is thought that he painted the scene in response to a vicious storm that claimed the lives of 128 fishermen while he was spending the summer at Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1873.

The puzzle was ok. The pieces were really small and they don’t include a blueprint to use. Which would be fine if the photo on the front of the box was larger, but it’s also very small and not really useful for details. I don’t think I’d buy another one from Zazzle until they start providing at least some sort of reference photo. .
