About This Design
Dance to the Music of Time (by Nicholas Poussin) Tile
This design features artwork by the French Baroque painter (1594–1665). It is a scene inspired by classical Greek myth. There are four figures holding hands and dancing: four of them are female and the one at the back appears to be male. An old man with wings on his back is playing a lyre on the right: he symbolises the passage of time. Aurora, the goddess of dawn, can be seen in the sky, flying in front of the chariot of Apollo, the sun-god; he is holding a ring representing the Zodiac. The original artwork was painted between about 1634 and 1636 as a commission for Giulio Rospigliosi, who later became Pope Clement IX.

My fiancé and I were happy when we received the tile. It’s Peru and was worth paying extra for expressing postage. Good quality and it is exactly like we wanted it. We are very pleased.

Just perfect for my needs. I want to use it in my garden as a little memorial to my Nana whose name was Iris :). Printing is just great :)
