"Danse Macabre : Tribal Fusion!" She is the first in my new series called "Danse Macabre". Danse Macabre (literally, Dance of Death) - was a very common theme for many late Mediaeval allegorical paintings. The allegory being of course that the dance of death is inevitable and unites us all. How macabre! I have decided to create a more literal and visual take on the centuries-old tradition - combining skeletal imagery with some of my favourite dance imagery! I hope to touch on many forms of dance in subsequent pieces. This first painting celebrates Tribal Fusion - a contemporary vein of bellydance that I love. I've shown the beautiful dancing maiden surrounded by skeletons - atmospheric colouring & shadow abound. I originally ordered this print in a larger size but was not pleased with the clarity of it. When I contacted Zazzle, they responded really quickly and were very helpful. I was able to reorder the print in a smaller size and it was shipped to me within a couple of weeks. The print was packaged well to ensure there was no damage during transit (Eco friendly, too!), and I am really pleased with it.
I am so grateful to the customer service team for the professional way they handled my order. I had this printed on matt finish card and I was really pleased with the quality. The colours were rich and the image sharp.
