The Japanese word “福入” (fuku-iri) written on the belly of a Daruma doll mean “bringing in good fortune” or “may happiness and luck come to you.” It is a wish for the owner to receive good luck, and this is why Daruma dolls with this inscription are called “lucky Daruma” in Japan.

The clock did not take as long to arrive as I thought it might and was extremely well packaged. I didn't do the measurements so I didn't realize it is a little smaller than the average clock but that does not matter (just make sure you check if that's important to you).It is really nifty! It seems very solid and well made not flimsy at all. It has been going well and has kept good time in its few weeks on my wall. Nice product. Gets noticed too! Nicer in real life than the picture but true to the picture
