It is also associated with the United Farm Workers union, as one of the most commonly heard songs sung during rallies. The rooster has always been a reminder for Christians to not deny their faith as Jesus said on the night he was arrested prior to being crucified, "Truly I say to you that this very night, before a rooster crows, you will deny Me three times."
