In Edgar Rice Burroughs' series of novels set on Mars, Dejah Thoris is a made-up character who is a princess from Helium, a city-state/empire on the red planet. She is the child of Mors Kajak, who is the chieftain of Lesser Helium, and the grandchild of Tardos Mors, who is the overlord or high king of Helium. Dejah Thoris is the romantic interest and eventual spouse of John Carter, an Earthling who mysteriously ends up on Mars. They have two children together, a son named Carthoris and a daughter named Tara. Dejah Thoris is often portrayed as the typical damsel in distress who needs to be saved from danger, but she is also depicted as a skilled and capable adventurer who can protect herself and survive alone in the barren landscapes of Mars.

Very impressive product! The canvas is sturdily made. It features a saw tooth hanger on the back, making it easy to "try out" the canvas in several rooms until I found the best location.
