"Delusions of Grandeur" - a piece that debuted as part of the group show "What Big Eyes You Have" in Orlando. "Delusions of Grandeur" is one of my favorite psychiatric terms, referring to one has an over-inflated notion of their self-importance. This painting reflects this somewhat - on first impression it may appear to be a simple lovely Rococo portrait, but upon closer inspection you will notice that it is all a facade - the mural is peeling, the mirror is cracked, the fabric is torn and stained, the fruit is attracting flies and nothing is quite as grand as it first may seem. The original itself sold at the show but I have prints & posters available! I originally ordered this print in a larger size but was not pleased with the clarity of it. When I contacted Zazzle, they responded really quickly and were very helpful. I was able to reorder the print in a smaller size and it was shipped to me within a couple of weeks. The print was packaged well to ensure there was no damage during transit (Eco friendly, too!), and I am really pleased with it.
