The front contains artwork by French Impressionist painter, Edgar Degas. “Race Horses” (ca.1885-1888) shows several horses and jockeys assembling before the race begins, and features shades of green, warm tan, brown, and cream. A line border in green and taupe as well as a small green horseshoe surrounded by golden laurel branches completes the front.
