Descanso tie
The Los Angeles Railway's Descanso was built in 1909 and was originally named Paraiso. The Descanso was a funeral car, before the days of gas hearses you could rent a trolley to take the departed to the cemetery. The Paraiso was later renamed the Descanso after it's sister (The original Descanso) was retired. The newly renamed Descanso lasted until retirement in 1924. The car is currently preserved at the Southern California Railway Museum.
