There's no way around it. The Emerald Pool trails are difficult, especially for well worn retirees. We gambled the unknown had to be better than the known. So we "soldier on", resting frequently. A good strategy. It gave us time to appreciate this view, albeit from sitting on a rock. Zion National Park.
