As with all things, sunlight will fade the images. This image in particular lasted a while with a rigorous travel habits. I left it on the truck to see how it would wear as a vehicle magnet. I didn't have anyone steal the magnets, and this one still looks great today! If you left it on the fridge it would likely last a lifetime. Colors were vibrant and did pretty well under constant direct UV exposure (i.e. on the sides of the vehicle for extended period of time, as well as elemental interactions rain/hail/sleet/snow/road salt/etc.) It still is vibrant and looks good even though it is aged. Might be best for the locker/fridge/desk/etc.
