Dinoflagellates are unicellular organisms with whip-like organelles . Our dinoflagellate is a unique animal - the combination of an actual unicellular creature and a pterosaur called Quetzalcoatlus. The "dino" in dinoflagellate actually comes from the Greek "dinos," meaning "whirling." Thus dinoflagellate literally means "whirling whip." Change the background colour of this design to match your decor! Our dino looks great on a variety of greens and blues. Here's how: Click the orange "Customise it!" button, then click "edit" on the right hand side of the screen. The pull down menu includes "background."
