Dionysus Cup: Greek God on Ship Vines & Dolphins Mug

A rendition of the Dionysus Cup (app. 540–530 BC) by ancient Athenian artist Exsekias. It features the God Dionysus on a ship with vines growing from the mast and dolphins swimming all around. Dionysus was the God of Wine (among other things) so the grapes make perfect sense. He's also holding a cornucopia in his hands. The image of this hunky God is found on the inside of a kylix, an ancient Greek drinking vessel. It is considered a masterpiece of Greek vase painting and is one of the most significant works on display at its Munich museum. Note: Exekias' signature is on the bottom of the cup but I've added it here as a tribute to his excellence.
