Celebrate Disability Pride. Remind folks that disabled is an identity. That there's nothing wrong with being disabled.
I don't know about you but it gets exhausting explaining and educating everyone everywhere I go what ableism is, why the stigma around disability is harmful and what it means to reclaim it. Sometimes all I have in me is capacity to go to the grocery store and get yogurt etc rather than engage with curious or nosy people. Sometimes at least by carrying a tote bag with a message I like to believe maybe I got one person to rethink their assumptions.
