Disco Ball Invitation

The inspiration for this piece is a friend who passed in 2024. I met him in 2004. He was my favourite customer for ten years, then we lost touch for about six years. In 2021, he became my neighbour. His favourite vegetable was carrots and he loved music, especially disco, funk, and motown. His favourite song lyric was, "tires fair" from "Hot Rod Lincoln" by Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen. We played a lot of dice games together over the years. I baked some cookies for him before he passed. After he was gone, I asked the Universe to send me a four-leaf clover as a sign that he knew how much I valued our friendship. I had never found a four-leaf clover in my life. I turned my face towards the ground to wipe away some tears, and there it was: A four-leaf clover. This piece is to commemorate his positive energy and friendly nature.
