I was standing on the playground with about 600 students on the day this photo was taken. The Discovery Space Shuttle was getting ready to land at the Udvar Hazy Air and Space Museum near Dulles International Airport. As the shuttle emerged from behind the school, the students started spontaneously chanting, "USA, USA, USA". It was a moment of great pride.
