This is an embossed Arthur Donaldson Proof Cigar Countertop Display. Usually no more than 10 were pulled as proofs. This Arthur Donaldson pilsen Cuban cigars were made in the 1920’s. A proof is one part of creating a chromolithograph label and one of the rarest pieces of cigar label art you can collect. Only a few proof sets are ever created for each cigar label. This label was made by Heywood, Strasser, and Voight Litho Co. in New York.
