The Dormition Cathedral is an Orthodox church in Yaroslavl, located at the confluence of the Volga and Kotorosl rivers. It serves as the cathedral of the Yaroslavl Metropolis and Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. The original structure was destroyed during the Soviet era and rebuilt according to a new design from 2004 to 2010 to mark the city's 1,000th anniversary.
