Dorothy Lathrop: Boat of Dreams Fairy Illustration Poster
Dorothy Lathrop (1891-1980) was an important American children's book illustrator and author. She illustrated more than 38 children's books, also working as the primary illustrator for many popular American authors of American children's literature. Along with writing and illustrating children's stories, she also wrote and illustrated many books devoted to the importance of animals.
Dorothy Lathrop's fairy illustrations are her most famous works. "The Boat of Dreams" is a wonderful example. It features the fairy queen sailing through the starry sky, accompanied by a group of magical butterflies. The full moon shines in the background.
