Douglas Falls is the relatively unknown cousin of the famous Blackwater Falls. Despite its obscurity, it is actually a shorter walk from your car (if you park at the head of the Blackwater Canyon rail trail where the driveable portion ends) to the falls than for Blackwater Falls. Acid runoff from mining gives the orange colour to the rocks.
