About This Design
Dresser Minton Palmette Tile Repro Document Colour
Although we offer this design in several colours, this one replicates the original tile in cinnabar, cream and ebony black.
Christopher Dresser was born in Glasgow Scotland in 1834 and died in 1904. He was a designer, lecturer, author, and theorist, artist, and botanist who is considered one of the pioneers of “modern” design. Many of his designs feature stylised designs from nature, reflecting his training in both art and botany. These tiles marry his interest in art, design and plants beautifully. He created this tile for Minton Tile Works, England. Minton was considered one of the premier ceramics manufacturers of the mid-19th through early 20th centuries. Originals of period Minton tiles sell for hundreds of dollars each -- even if damaged! You can own a new reproduction for a small fraction of that - just choose the colour and design that works best for you.

My fiancé and I were happy when we received the tile. It’s Peru and was worth paying extra for expressing postage. Good quality and it is exactly like we wanted it. We are very pleased.

Just perfect for my needs. I want to use it in my garden as a little memorial to my Nana whose name was Iris :). Printing is just great :)
