The Beautiful Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly is one of the largest, and most beautiful Butterflies in the kingdom. They’re large wingspan of bright yellow with black trim. 4, 5 tiger like stripes on their wings, and 6 legs. A long Curled antenna, are a wonder of nature to behold. The males have darker black stripes. Females have blue and red spots mixed in their hind wings. Their host plants are rose, magnolia,tulip,wild black cherry. They are the state Butterfly of Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Delaware. I took this photograph of one drinking nectar from my pink lantana flower plant. They are magical to watch!
