What may sound like such a large statement rings true on many levels. While one person cannot save the world on their own, our collective efforts to eat only plants can definitely save our planet and all beings who inhabit it. • Eating only plants is the single most impactful action we can take to help the environment, as plant-based food takes less land, water, and other resources to produce compared to animal products, and results in far fewer greenhouse gas emissions and other kinds of pollution. • Eating only plants is a powerful action that can improve and save human lives as it ensures that we are able to grow enough food to feed the world’s population, benefits human health, eliminates the extremely hazardous working conditions for those working in animal agriculture and meat processing jobs, and decreases our risk for zoonotic (diseases in animals that are transmissible to humans) diseases and global pandemics. • Eating only plants is one of the most substantial actions we can take to improve and save the lives of all non-human animals as it prevents farmed animals from being exploited for their bodies, protects and preserves habitats for wild animals, and prevents wildlife from being indiscriminately killed for the sake of protecting livestock. By simply choosing to put only plants on our plates, we can take powerful action toward saving the world, multiple times a day.
