A seagull sits atop a tiny lighthouse on the rocky coast of a lush and green Maine island. Echo Point Light is an unofficial lighthouse that has become a local landmark to islanders on Casco Bay in Portland, Maine. Its Great Diamond Island location can be seen across Diamond Island Pass from the neighbouring community of Peaks Island. It is also known locally as Pocahontas Light, a name coined by an unknown ferry captain from the past.
