This Constructivism design masterpiece titled, Proun 1 C is made by the famous painter, El Lissitzky using oil on panel in 1919. Thus Lissitzky soon devoted himself to Jewish art, exhibiting works by local Jewish artists, travelling to Mahilyow to study the traditional architecture and ornaments of old synagogues, and illustrating many Yiddish children's books.
